Homeowner: Aisha, Birmingham | Theme: Rental-Friendly Upgrades
The Brief
Aisha rents a one-bed flat and her bathroom was the room she dreaded most — beige tiles, a plastic shower curtain, and a single bare bulb. She'd been told no drilling, no permanent fixtures. She wanted it to feel like a spa, not a student let.
The Vision
Clean, calm, and damage-free. Aisha wanted to use every no-damage trick available: peel-and-stick tiles, suction hooks, freestanding accessories, and a small framed print to bring personality to the walls.
The Transformation
Peel-and-stick geometric tiles were applied to the wall behind the basin as a faux splashback. A bamboo shelf was placed over the toilet using tension rods. Suction hooks held a new waffle-weave towel. A small framed print from Nur & Form — a delicate geometric in soft white and gold — was hung using a damage-free strip above the towel rail. A trailing pothos plant was placed on the windowsill. The plastic shower curtain was replaced with a linen-look one.
